On the morning of April 28, 2026, Ju, Weilong and Ma, Pan successfully defended their doctoral dissertations. The defense committee was chaired by Prof. Qiao, Jinliang of the Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, and included Prof. Huang, Xianbo (Kingfa Science & Technology Co., Ltd.), Prof. Xie, Xuming (Tsinghua University), Prof. Yu, Zhongzhen (Beijing University of Chemical Technology), and Prof. Yang, Mingshu (Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences).

Ju, Weilong presented his thesis, “Study on the Reinforcement and Toughening Mechanisms and Phase Change Properties of Polymer Nanocomposites,” and Ma, Pan presented her, “Regulation Mechanism of β-Nucleating Agent on the Crystallization and Cavitation Behavior of Isotactic Polypropylene.” Both candidates delivered detailed presentations of their research and responded to the experts’ inquiries.

That afternoon, Wang, Ming and Su, Chenlong also successfully defended their theses, again under the chairmanship of Prof. Qiao, Jinliang. The committee comprised Prof. Huang Xianbo, Prof. Xie Xuming, Prof. Yu Zhongzhen, Prof. Yang Mingshu, along with Prof. Chen Erqiang (Peking University) and Prof. Chen Xuelian (Guoneng (Beijing) New Materials Technology Co., Ltd.).

Wang Ming presented his research on “Microscopic Mechanisms of Interfacial Nucleation and Crystallization Kinetics in Polymers,” while Su Chenlong presented on “Study on the Properties and Flame-Retardant Mechanism of PA66 Modified by DOPO Derivatives.” Both systematically presented their findings and addressed the committee’s questions.
