On May 16th, 2023, Liyuan Liu, Xuan Li, and Weijian Lu of our group completed their thesis defense.

During the morning, Prof. Jinliang Qiao from Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, Prof. Zhihao Shen from Peking University, Prof. Zhongzhen Yu from Beling University of Chemical Technology, Prof. Mingshu Yang and Prof. Jinyong Dong from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences participated as judges in Liyuan Liu's dissertation.

Prof. Jinliang Qiao from Sinopec Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, Prof. Zhihao Shen from Peking University, Prof. Zhongzhen Yu from Beling University of Chemical Technology, Prof. Mingshu Yang, Prof. Jinyong Dong, and Prof. Dujin Wang from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences participated as judges in Xuan Li's dissertation.

During the afternoon, Prof. Xuming Xie and associate Prof. Jun Xu from Tsinghua University, Prof. Erqiang Chen from Peking University, Prof. Xiaowen Zhang from AECC Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials, and Prof. Wei You from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences participated as judges in Weijian Lu's dissertation.

Three students presented their research systematically and clearly. Liyuan Liu’s research focused on the Mechanism of Polymorph Selection of Isotactic Polypropylene Directed by Crystal Interface Engineering. Xuan Li reported the research on the Structural Evolution and Property Modulation of Long Chain Polyamides by Thermal Treatment. Weijian Lu studied the Investigation on the Preparation and Properties of Self-healing Polyamide Elastomers. The judges gave high praise to the research work of the three students, and the question-answer session was a lively discussion. Finally, the defense committee unanimously passed the defense of the four students' theses by secret ballot. They also recommended the awarding of Ph.D. degree to Liyuan Liu and Xuan Li, and Master's degree to Weijian Lu.
