Under the support of the CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI), Prof. Alejandro J. Mueller stayed at ICCAS as a visiting professor of PMP group during this June 2016. During the visit, he taught a short course on polymer crystallization. The fundamental polymer crystallization theories were systematically introduced, including “introduction of polymer semi-crystalline state”, “solution and melt crystallization: typical morphologies”, “crystallization kinetics: Avrami and Hoffman-Lauritzen theory”, “polymer nucleation theory” and “select topics in polymer crystallization”.

Prof. Mueller is the Ikerbasque Research Professor at POLYMAT (Spain) and the Associate Editor for “Polymer Physics and Technology” of the European Polymer Journal. We have been collaborating with Prof. Mueller on polymer crystallization for several years and have co-published 4 papers.
