In April, PhD. candidate Lili Wang visited the group of Prof. Phil Coates at University of Bradford for cooperative research. The main aim of the visiting research focused on micro-injection molding of long chain polyamide alloys. In the IRC Polymer Engineering Lab, polyamide alloys with different ratios were manufactured using small twin-screw extrusion machine and the resultant polyamide alloys were made into micro-injection molded samples in different shapes. In addition, deep insights into various processing techniques were realized by the visit of different processing equipment. The exchange visit inspired the innovation motivation and strengthened the collaboration relationships between the two groups.
